Wirrina Coastline Walk
A 3 hour guided walk featuring a historic cave, a prehistoric beach, an upside-down cliff, over 1700 million years of geology, the Tjilbruke story and a spectacular western Fleurieu coastline at low tide. You must have sturdy enclosed footwear to do this walk because some of it requires walking across rough rocks and loose pebbles. NO thongs, sandals, crocs, flats, moccasins, high heels or bare feet. Cost $25 per adult, $15 per child, $60 per family (up to 2 adults and 3 children). Price includes: - guided walk. What to bring: - camera - sturdy, enclosed shoes - water - sunscreen, hat & sunglasses - clothing appropriate for weather forecast. Moderate agility is required for this tour. 1 to 11 people per tour.
This tour begins at the HMAS Hobart Memorial Lookout (location map) which is 5 km south of Normanville; on the west side of the Fleurieu Peninsula. Our minibus shuttles you from there to the start of the walk. The walk takes about 3 hours to return to the Memorial.
This tour is scheduled for Mondays with low tides. Dates & times for the 2017-18 summer are:
